Kathleen Ash loves talking about safety. That’s probably because she’s got such a great story to tell.
A 20-year ExxonMobil employee, Kathleen is leading the expansion of our carbon capture and storage (CCS) system in the United States. We plan to use that system – an unmatched network of CO2 pipelines and storage sites – to help U.S. industries reduce their emissions and stay competitive by meeting growing global demand for low-carbon products.
In this new video, Kathleen answers a key question: “Is it safe?”
She discusses our robust safety systems for transporting and storing captured CO2, and our work with communities and first responders. As a native of Mississippi – one of the states served by our CCS system, that topic hits home for Kathleen.
“Safety is our number one priority every day,” she said.
